Someone Called The Cops On Saw X Editor After Hearing Screaming And Horrid Sounds

Working from home led to distress for the neighbors of Saw X editor Steve Forn. So much so that they reportedly phoned the Los Angeles police after hearing what sounded like someone being tortured next door.

Speaking with NME, Saw X director Kevin Greutert revealed the hilarious misunderstanding as Forn was working on an “eye vacuum trap” sequence–seen below–from the horror movie. You probably don’t even have to watch the clip to realize it’s full of screaming and unsettling sounds.

Greutert said there’s doorbell camera footage of the officers arriving at Forn’s place to ask him about the strange noises. “And he was like, ‘Actually, I’m just working on a movie… You can come in and see it if you want?’ The cops started laughing,” said Greutert. “They said, ‘We want to, but you know, you’re all right.’ It must have been a pretty realistic performance!”

Last month, the director chatted with GameSpot about how Saw X faced one major change to make sense of the film franchise’s complicated timeline. Greutert has not only helmed three Saw movies now, but he also edited the first five flicks in the series.

Saw X has seen pretty positive reviews, especially compared to the rest of the franchise. The new Jigsaw movie reportedly earned roughly $18 million at the domestic box office over this past opening weekend.
