The sixth and final season of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone goes live today, bringing a new battle pass to level up, more DLC weapons to unlock, and plenty of operator skins. Activision has revealed the full patch notes for the big update, which include weapon tuning, small changes to battle royale, Buy Station price changes for DMZ, and more.
The update brings new maps to multiplayer, a new season of Ranked Play for multiplayer and Warzone, new game modes, and an upcoming Halloween event. The big Season 6 details can be found here. As always, the seasonal battle pass has free and premium tiers of the pass, and this final season offers several operator skins themed around the Spawn comics and three new weapons. There are also several spooky shop bundles arriving for Halloween.

Now Playing: Modern Warfare II & Warzone | Season 06 BlackCell Battle Pass Upgrade Trailer
Season 6 includes some weapon balancing for both multiplayer and Warzone. On the multiplayer side, the Lachmann Shroud submachine gets nerfed with reduced upper torso damage and mid-far distance damage, while the Minibak submachine gun gets buffed with increased close distance damage and damage range. The Kastov 762 assault rifle also receives a nerf with a reduction to close-distance damage and close damage range, but it does get an increase to mid damage range.
For Warzone, the popular ISO Hemlock assault rifle is nerfed with a decrease to the neck damage multiplier and the upper torso damage multiplier. The M13B assault rifle also receives a reduction with a decrease to close damage, close damage range, close-mid damage, and mid damage. The FTAC Recon has been a pretty underpowered battle rifle for Warzone, but Season 6 gives the gun buffs to the neck, torso, and limbs multipliers.
Other Warzone changes include a new Champion’s Quest rewards and the Signals Intelligence contract now only requires two hacks instead of three. The developer says it has improved the behavior and visibility of additional loot that drops on the ground out of supply boxes. The update also fixes an audio issue with supply boxes.
Major changes are made to DMZ mode for Season 6. The frustration of six-man squads will no longer be a struggle, as the patch notes detail the assimilation feature now only allows a maximum of four players per team. Everything just got a lot more expensive to purchase at Buy Stations in DMZ. For example, UAV’s have increased in price from $12,000 to $100,000, and 3-plate carriers are adjusted from $35,000 to $65,000.
Global bug fixes include a fix for an issue affecting the appearance of the 9mm Daemon pistol when previewing the weapon, and corrected a bug that caused AI Gun Screens to not function correctly on secondary weapons. It also fixes scoreboard issues and one where some Bonus Challenges were not rewarding XP correctly upon completion.
The weapon balancing details and patch notes can be found below, as shared by Activision.
