CoD: Warzone And MW2 Season 6 Includes Spawn, Diablo Operators, The Haunting, And More

The final season of Modern Warfare 2 arrives on September 27, and Activision has released the Season 6 roadmap, which reveals a crossover with Spawn, a Halloween event, and more. Here are all the new announcements for Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone.

New battle pass, weapons, and operators

Season 6 comes with a brand-new battle pass that includes 100-tiers of content, including the comic book antihero Spawn as the season’s battle pass operator. Players who purchase the Season 6 pass will immediately unlock the Al Simmons operator, which is Spawn’s mortal world identity. Spawn also has skins unlocked at tier 0 and tier 100 of the pass.

The Blackcell premium pass includes a robotic variant of Valeria, and she comes with a tactical pet named Megabyte.

For new weapons, the TR-76 Geist assault rifle, ISO 9mm submachine gun, and Dual Kamas melee weapons will be available in the free tiers of the pass. The Doom Chainsaw will be available to purchase in a bundle at the mid-season update, but it won’t have a free unlock challenge, as this weapon is considered a variant of the pickaxe melee weapon.

Other shop bundles will include the previously leaked bundles for Diablo’s Lilith and Inarius, Skeletor from the Masters of the Universe franchise, Ash Williams from the Evil Dead, and Alucard from Hellsing.

Halloween event

Spooky season is almost here, and Call of Duty is bringing back its annual “The Haunting” event for Halloween. The event will bring jump scares and spooky updates to maps for both Warzone and multiplayer.

On the Warzone side, players can expect an event for Al Mazrah called “Operation Nightmare,” where players will be tasked with sending monsters back to hell. Al Mazrah will feature a nighttime map for the event. The Vondel map will have a Vondead zombies-themed mode as well. The Haunting will arrive at the mid-season update.

Modern Warfare 2

Season 6 of multiplayer will include four new maps at launch. This includes two standard 6v6 maps and two Gunfight maps. La Casa is a brand-new core map designed as a luxury estate based in Las Almas, and Koro Village brings back the map layout of Toujane from 2005’s Call of Duty 2, but this time the map will have a snowy theme.

For Gunfight, the fan-favorite King map is returning from Modern Warfare 2019, and Fight looks to be a 2v2 arena inspired by the popular Shoothouse map.

For the mid-season update, there will be two spooky map reskins for the holiday. El Asilo celebrates Día de Muertos, while Embassy becomes the site of a bloody zombie attack.

Included with the mid-season The Haunting event, players can expect jump scares, skulls, zombies, and more spookiness with holiday variants of Domination, Kill Confirmed, Grind, Drop Zone, and Infected.

As always, a new season means new Ranked Play rewards for both multiplayer. These updates usually include weapon balancing and bug fixes across all modes, and Activision says patch notes will arrive closer to launch.
