Xbox Game Pass Core: All 36 Games Revealed For Tomorrow's Launch

Xbox Live Gold will soon be no more, but in its place is a new budget-friendly version of Xbox Game Pass that will be available starting September 14 on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One. Compared to the regular and Ultimate versions of the subscription service, Xbox Game Pass Core offers a smaller library of games for $10 a month, that’ll be periodically updated up to three times a year. That list of games has been finalized ahead of the launch of Xbox Game Pass Core and anyone looking to sign up for that service can expect a library of strong single-player titles, popular multiplayer experiences, and several influential indie titles.

It’s worth noting that this version of Game Pass won’t receive day-one releases, as you’ll need to be subscribed to the higher tiers to gain access to those games when they launch.

On the AAA side, Xbox Game Pass Core has Bethesda’s Doom Eternal and Dishonored first-person games, a pretty great combo of unrelenting action and challenging stealth. For first-party games, Microsoft is offering a wide number of Xbox exclusives. Forza Horizon 4 offers picturesque racing in the British countryside, Gears 5 is cover-based shooting with blockbuster visuals, Hellblade: Senua’s Saga is a haunting action game that’ll keep you on the edge of your seat, and Psychonauts 2 has that Double Fine magic of creative level design and endearing characters.

The third-party selection of games includes some of the biggest hits of the last couple of years. Powerwash Simulator is still a terrific and meditative game in which you’re tasked to pressure-wash homes and vehicles, Dead Cells is pure “just one more run” fun, and Vampire Survivors turns you into a tornado of fireballs, whips, and the infinite void of space itself as you take on hundreds of monsters. Microsoft added that the game library may vary over time and country, but for now, the launch lineup includes the following 36 games:

For regular Game Pass subscribers, September has been headlined by the release of Starfield, Lies of P will be available on September 19, and more Game Pass reveals will be announced at Tokyo Games Show on September 21.
