Two Long-Missing Double Dragon Games Are Finally Coming Back

After almost 20 years, Double Dragon Advance is finding a new home on consoles and PC. It’s not alone, either. Super Double Dragon will get an official port for the first time in decades as well.

Arc System Works announced both beat-’em-up games starring Billy Lee and Jimmy will arrive digitally on November 9 for PC, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. Double Dragon Advance originally launched in 2003 on Game Boy Advance and serves as a remake of the original 1987 arcade game. Meanwhile, Super Double Dragon released back in 1992 on SNES and was created specifically for consoles instead of being based on or borrowing aspects of an arcade counterpart.

In addition, Arc System Works also revealed that these two long-missing games will be bundled together with the first four mainline Double Dragon titles in the Double Dragon Collection on Switch. This package will be offered physically, also coming out November 9.

Double Dragon Gaiden: Rise of the Dragons just released this week on consoles and PC from Arc System Works, Modus, and Secret Base. There are 11 playable characters in addition to Billy and Jimmy, including the damsel in distress from the original game, Marian.

Before that, Arc System Works released Double Dragon 4, which looks like an original NES title, in 2017. For more on that, check out GameSpot’s Double Dragon 4 review.
