Destiny 2 Liturgy God Roll Guide – Best Perks And How To Get It

Destiny 2‘s new Stasis grenade launcher, Liturgy, is a fairly remarkable breech-loader for a couple of reasons. First, the Episode: Revenant weapon is one of the few Double Fire archetype launchers, which means it fires two grenades at a time instead of one for double the explosive power. Second, it goes in your primary weapon slot and is imbued with Stasis, an element that is highly in vogue thanks to boosts coming from the Revenant artifact. And finally, the excellent perks in its god roll synergize beautifully with Stasis and Prismatic builds, as well as other Stasis guns, to provide some big benefits.

How To Get Liturgy

Like the other Revenant weapons, the primary means of getting new versions of Liturgy is by playing Onslaught: Salvation, the new activity that launched as part of the episode. Liturgy can drop as a random reward as you complete waves of Onslaught: Salvation, so there’s a chance you’ll get it whenever you open a chest. You can increase that chance by crafting a Liturgy Enriching tonic, which will “attune” your rewards so you’ll get Liturgy more often. The potion lasts for 20 minutes, but you’ll have to unlock the recipe in order to use it–check out our Tonics guide for more info on how to do that.

You’re also guaranteed to earn a Liturgy as a reward for completing Revenant Act 1 story quests, so make sure to bang those out as well.

Much like Exuviae, Liturgy has some great synergies with Stasis builds and other Stasis weapons. The main perk here is Chill Clip, which creates an explosion that slows enemies when you land direct hits, and the one-round magazine on Liturgy means you can ignore worrying about the “top half of the magazine” aspect of the perk. The Spike Grenades magazine perk increases your direct-hit damage and benefits from a reduced blast radius from Hard Launch, making for a really powerful weapon. Slideways is also really good here, as sliding can constantly reload your launcher to keep it firing faster. Rimestealer works well if you’re pairing Liturgy with other weapons and abilities that generate Stasis crystals, as the launcher hits so hard that targets tend to die long before they freeze.

There are better PvP grenade launcher options–namely The Mountaintop–and Liturgy is geared more toward PvE uses. If you do take it into the Crucible, lean on the Velocity stat to get your grenades to your targets as quickly as possible. Slideways is good here, again, to help you keep Liturgy loaded. Harmony and Desperate Measures can both boost Liturgy’s damage, although both requires you to notch a kill first, which tends to make this more of a backup weapon for a second target after a duel.
