Arriving later this year, The Talos Principle 2 was officially announced at the PlayStation Showcase. The sequel is planned for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
Devolver Digital and developer Croteam also unveiled the first trailer for The Talos Principle 2, which they’re promising will have fresh puzzle mechanics and new secrets. The video also shows cats are confirmed for the game, with one orange kitty stretching in the cutest way.
The setting for the sequel will be in a world where humans are extinct. But, there are robots–and cats–that continue to keep human culture alive. The choices players end up making in The Talos Principle 2 will lead to multiple different endings.
In addition, The Talos Principle 2 will boast over a dozen new environments to explore before coming to those conclusions in the first-person puzzle game. The sequel will also introduce abilities not seen in the original, like gravity manipulation.
Croteam actually let word slip about The Talos Principle 2 all the way back in 2016. At Nordic Game, the studio confirmed that a sequel was happening, something that is now close to fruition.
