Nintendo has announced a new Zelda-themed Splatoon 3 Splatfest event. The Splatfest will run from May 5-7, and will require players to choose between Power, Wisdom, and Courage.
To coincide with the event, Nintendo also confirmed that Tricolor Turf War matches will be available on a special version of the Scorch Gorge map, which will take the shape of massive Triforce–a fitting addition for Zelda fans.

Now Playing: Splatoon 3 – Everything To Know
Splatfests are in-game community Splatoon events that allow players to pick from one of three teams to compete in Turf War matches. At the end of the event, the team with the most points is declared the overall winner. The winning team is rewarded Super Sea Snails, which are used for upgrading gear (though everyone who participates is granted some rewards, as well).
The last Splatfest was a showdown of mythical creatures, pitting Nessie, Aliens, and Bigfoot against one another. Ultimately, Nessie immerged victorious.
This upcoming Splatoon 3 event coincides with the release of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, which is due out on May 12, exclusively for Nintendo Switch. Ahead of its launch, Nintendo recently released a three-minute-long trailer, fueling speculation, while highlighting some of the game’s new features and some story elements, as well.
