Santa Monica Studio has added the long-awaited New Game Plus mode to God of War Ragnarok today. The free update gives players a chance to relive the popular sequel with new features including fresh equipment, armor, an increased level cap, and other changes.
As soon as players begin New Game Plus, most gear will be available from a previous playthrough. New equipment, however, will also be available, such as the Armor of the Black Bear, which prioritizes Strength and Defense attributes. Spartan, Ares, and Zeus Armor will all be featured, as well, each offering various abilities and perks.

New Game Plus enemies are more powerful than before, and players are encouraged to convert their equipment to Plus versions to stand a chance. Doing so will grant additional progression levels.
Likewise, new Enchantments such as Gilded Cins, Berserker Soul Drops, and Burdens have come to New Game Plus today. The Niflheim Sparring Arena will now let players choose from both Kratos and Atreus with various companions such as Freya, Brok, and others.
God of War Ragnarok will now feature changes to select bosses in New Game Plus, keeping players on their toes. Expect enemy alterations and even a new Black and White Render Mode as part of the New Game Plus update.
