Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1 is drawing to a close very soon, but there’s still plenty of new content here in the season’s final update. In addition to that sick new Adonis Creed outfit from Creed III that’s dropping in the item shop this week, this update is bringing us the return of the extremely retro Six Shooter and Infantry Rifle weapons and a new kind of quest that will require a little bit more brainpower than usual.
Most of these new Cipher Quests will come in your standard quest form: It tells you what your objective is. These are unencrypted Cipher Quests. But you’ll also find quests that are encrypted, and you’ll have to use your smarts to figure out what you’re supposed to actually do. You have to complete each encrypted quest before you can start a new one, and new Cipher Quests will unlock each day through March 7th. You’ll have until the season ends to complete them, but that isn’t a lot of time–just a week and change.

On top of all the XP you’ll be gaining from these quests to finish up your battle pass if you need to, there will be quest rewards involved here as well. There’s nothing as robust as the free mini-battle pass that we just got for the Most Wanted event, but it’s nevertheless the kind of stuff that Fortnite collectors will want to grab.
For seven unencrypted quests you’ll get the Keep The Peace spray, at 15 unencrypted quests you’ll get the Order Up loading screen, and at 24 unencrypted quests you’ll get the Deciphered emoticon. If you complete three of the puzzling Encrypted quests, you’ll also earn the Circuitry wrap, and for completing the very last Cipher quest you’ll get the Distant Roar spray.
We’ve got two more unvaulted guns with this update: the Infantry Rifle and the Six Shooter. The Infantry Rifle is an unscoped semi-automatic assault rifle–basically a DMR minus the scope. The Six Shooter is a pistol with unique properties–it shoots very rapidly from the hip for close encounters, and fires much more slowly and accurately when you ADS for medium-range situations.
And lastly, in a bit of news that Epic buried at the end of the blog about this patch: the Rift-Jector Seat augment (which rifts you up into the sky when your shield breaks) is once again active, ensuring that the final week of Chapter 4 Season 1 will be as chaotic as possible.
