Hawkeye's Captain America Musical Is Real And Coming To Disneyland Resort

During last year’s D23 Expo, Marvel fans were treated to a surprise real-life performance of Rogers: The Musical, which was originally introduced in the first episode of Disney+’s Hawkeye series. The song performed was called “Save this City” which was written by multi-time Tony-nominated songwriting duo Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman and is now coming to a Disneyland Resort.

The musical number loosely reimagines the Avengers’ battle with the invading Chitauri at the end of the 2012 film. It was released as a single on the same day as the show’s premiere episode.

Fans took to the song and it blew up Spotify charts, but now Disney has announced it will expand and actually make Rogers: The Musical a short one-act musical. It will be performed for a limited time this summer at Disney California Adventure Park.

The teaser shows an Agent Peggy Carter walking into the Hyperion Theater with the marquee simply reading “coming soon.” There are no confirmed dates or additional song titles announced as details will be announced in the coming months.

This would be the first Marvel musical presentation that Disney has made after several live-action performances at the park, most recently with the Frozen show also formerly at the Hyperion.
