Xur’s back in the Solar System in Destiny 2, offering a slate of new Exotics and Legendary weapons and armor for your perusal. We’re nearing the end of both the Solstice event and Season of the Haunted in Destiny 2, which means it’s time to gear up for a new season and a new raid. If you missed past Vorpal Weapon Dead Man’s Tales, Xur gives you another chance this week, and he’s also sporting a few weird rolls on Exotic and Legendary armor. Here’s where you can find Xur and what Exotics he’s selling this weekend.

Now Playing: Destiny 2: The Witch Queen Xur Location Aug 5, 2022
This week you can find Xur in the EDZ, in the Winding Cove area. For his weapon, Xur is offering The Colony. Hunters can pick up the Lucky Pants leg armor; Titans can grab Peacekeepers leg armor; and for Warlocks, Xur has the Aeon Soul gauntlets. Xur’s Hawkmoon carries the Hip-Fire Grip perk, while his Dead Man’s Tale packs Vorpal Weapon.
Xur Location
Spawn in at the Winding Cove transmat zone, then hop on your sparrow and go north. Take the collapsed overpass on the left and look for a cave near the bend in the road. Follow the tunnel through the cliff face to reach a higher ridge where a Fallen dropship has crashed; you’ll find Xur waiting there.
Xur is present every weekend in Destiny 2, starting with the daily reset at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET each Friday. His exact location is always a mystery when he first arrives, as he is not listed on the map, and for novice players, he can be easy to miss. However, there are a set number of locations where he takes up residence, including the Tower Hangar area, on Nessus in Watcher’s Grave, and in the Winding Cove area of the EDZ.
Xur Exotic and Legendary Items
Tractor Cannon is Xur’s weapon this week, one of the more fun Exotics you can mess around with in Destiny 2–particularly in PvE. The gun boops enemies, sending them flying, while also debuffing them, which makes it great for taking down big, tough targets as a fire team. If you’re not a fan of his other options, Xur also sells an Exotic engram that will decrypt into an Exotic you don’t already own from the world drop pool. Just note that you can only buy one per week, and the engram is specific to the character class who buys it–so if you’re trying to get a new Titan helmet, don’t buy the engram with your Warlock. He also has the new Xenology Quest, which rewards an Exotic Cipher you can use to purchase Exotics from either Xur or the Tower’s Monument to Lost Lights. The quest requires you to either complete Strikes or win matches in Gambit and the Crucible.

Alongside changes in his location, Xur’s inventory also rotates weekly. That means it’s worth visiting him each time to check out his new weapons and rolls on Exotic and Legendary armor. You can visit him any time between his arrival Friday and the weekly reset at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET the following Tuesday when Xur departs the Solar System.
Xur’s Hawkmoon is one you can safely skip this week. It sports the Hip-Fire Grip perk, one of the weaker ones available on the gun, and there are plenty of rolls of this one that allow for better range and more consistent kills. For Dead Man’s Tale, on the other hand, Xur provides another chance to get one with Vorpal Weapon, generally considered one of the best perks for the gun. This one could have better range, but Dead Man’s Tale generally suffers in the stability department, and this one has a good handle on that stat; maybe not quite a god roll, but you could definitely do worse if you need a DMT.
As for Legendary weapons, it’s a down week for Xur’s inventory, without a lot of must-haves. His Gnawing Hunger auto rifle isn’t a bad get if you need one; it’s generally one of the better autos in the game, especially for PvP, and includes Field Prep, Rampage, and a Stability Masterwork–again, not a god roll, but serviceable in a lot of situations. We’ve got a couple of mutant hand cannons on offer this week as well, with Xur’s Survivor’s Epitaph featuring that weird extra-perk bug that can give it Slideshot and Eye of the Storm in addition to Feeding Frenzy and Moving Target, a decent set overall. Unfortunately, it sports the Impact Masterwork, which doesn’t actually increase hand cannon damage. Xur also brings Talons of the Eagle, the Iron Banner scout rifle, with Full Auto Trigger System, Moving Target, and a Stability Masterwork, and thanks to recent buffs to scout rifles for the current PvP meta, that could be a fun roll to mess around with.
The Legendary armor department in Xur’s inventory brings the Righteous set from Season of Dawn. Pickings are slim for Titans, but Warlocks and Hunters make out a little better.

Tractor Cannon (Shotgun)
Tractor Cannon is one of those Exotics that doesn’t get a lot of play, but when you pull it out, it’s pretty awesome. The Heavy ammo shotgun emits a short-range burst of energy that sends enemies flying–or if they’re small, simply shreds them. Booping your foes is fun enough, but Tractor Cannon also suppresses enemies and makes them more vulnerable to damage, giving it some great synergies with Void 3.0 and making it a useful weapon for fireteams looking to maximize damage on tough enemies and bosses.
Lucky Pants (Hunter)
Lucky Pants are a hand cannon user’s dream, and Xur offers a pretty interesting roll on them this week. The Exotic makes your hand cannons ready faster and buffs their accuracy immediately after the draw, while also reloading them from your reserves while you’ve got them stowed. As you land shots from a fully loaded hand cannon, each subsequent shot also gains increased damage for a short time. If you’re a gunslinger, this is an Exotic you should be considering for your loadout.

Peacekeepers (Titan)
What Lucky Pants are for hand cannons, Peacekeepers are for submachine guns. The Exotic reloads your stowed SMGs and makes them ready instantaneously when you pull them back out. You also get better handling with SMGs generally and increased movement speed while you’re using them. This is a low roll as Xur Exotics go, so you might want to skip it, but if you like SMGs, Peacekeepers belong in your collection.

Aeon Soul (Warlock)
The Aeon set of Exotics confer a bunch of different useful buffs to players. You can swap between them by replacing the special mod on the Exotic, and each one also provides additional benefits if other members of your fireteam are also using an Aeon. The most common use of the Aeons is in high-level PvE content, where finishers on mini-bosses and champions can drop Heavy ammo for your team–so this is one you definitely want in your vault.
