The time has finally come. Marvel on Monday released the first trailer for Thor: Love and Thunder, and it is very impressive.
Set to “Sweet Child O’ Mine,” the trailer focuses on Chris Hemsworth’s Thor in the aftermath of the final Avengers movie. “These hands were once used for battle. Now they’re but humble tools for peace. I need to figure out exactly who I am,” he says in the trailer. We then see Thor getting back in shape and teaming up with the Guardians of the Galaxy for a new adventure. “Not every god has a plan,” reads a line from the video, which ends with a special surprise, so be sure to watch it all the way through.
Thor: Love and Thunder releases this July. Taika Waititi, who directed Thor: Ragnarok, returns for the sequel, while Christian Bale makes his MCU debut as Gorr the God Butcher.
Before Love and Thunder comes Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, which comes to theaters in May starring Benedict Cumberbatch.
