This Trailer Only Costs $750, But It's Also A Transformers Toy

Transformers fans who managed to get last year’s pricey Optimus Prime figure from Robosen can now enhance that Autobot leader’s arsenal with a $750 trailer.

Retailing for the same amount that Prime went for when it was first released, the three-foot-long trailer is also capable of transforming on its own, turning into a mobile battle center. It also comes with its own miniature motorized vehicle that can roll out for added authenticity.

In case you missed it when it was launched last year, Robosen’s officially-licensed Optimus Prime figure is capable of transforming from truck to robot mode all on its own. Using voice commands, Optimus can interact with its user, perform several actions, and has a wealth of other features that can be accessed through a dedicated app.

With more than two dozen servo motors, built-in lights, and even some remote control functionality, that makes for a collectible that’s both impressive and expensive.

The trailer completes the look of a toy that’s based on the G1 incarnation of Optimus and even has his original voice actor Peter Cullen providing numerous lines of dialogue.

It’s pricy, but the appeal of an Optimus Prime collectible that can transform, punch, and strike a pose does make for a unique toy to have on your shelf. In other Transformers news, the next film in the movie series is diving into the world of Beast Wars.

Directed by Creed II’s Steven Caple Jr., Transformers: Rise of the Beasts will star Dominique Fishback and Anthony Ramos alongside Autobots, Terrorcons, Decepticons, Maximals, and Predacons.
