You Can Now Read The Full Script For Spider-Man: No Way Home

Over a month after its premiere, Spider-Man: No Way Home is still topping the box office, working its way into the ranks of the most successful films ever made. Now, you can read the film’s full script from start to finish, if you want to enjoy the nostalgic fave in a brand-new format. As you may expect, both this article and the screenplay itself will contain spoilers for No Way Home.

The full script has been released by Deadline, as part of the site’s “Read the Screenplay” series, which features scripts from films that will feature in 2022’s awards race. You can read the full script here. The screenplay is titled “Serenity Now,” a decoy title (and Seinfeld reference) used thanks to the high level of secrecy around the Spider-Man sequel.

The script is written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, who also worked on Spider-Man: Homecoming and Far From Home. The two also co-wrote Ant-Man and the Wasp along with Paul Rudd, Andrew Barrer, and Gabriel Ferrari, and have worked on other blockbusters like Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle.

Spider-Man: No Way Home leans big into nostalgia for fans of the classic character, but has been praised for the way it handles its subject matter. In GameSpot’s Spider-Man: No Way Home review, Mason Downey praised the film for handling emotional moments and questions of morality better than MCU titles usually do, ultimately scoring the film a 9/10.

Sony and Marvel are betting big on the film, having launched an awards campaign for No Way Home that puts it forward for “all categories including Best Picture.” The film has generated surprising awards buzz compared to other MCU titles, with some predicting that it may be the second superhero film nominated for Best Picture after Black Panther in 2019.
