Minecraft is about to get a very large update, building on the previous Caves & Cliffs release with even more improvements to terrain and new candles just in time for Thanksgiving. You can pretend you’re sitting next to the fire from the comfort of your own Creeper-besieged home beginning on November 30.
Minecraft’s main Bedrock Edition will get the Caves & Cliffs: Part II update on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch, iOS, Android, and PC, as will the Java Edition for PC, Mac, and Linux. The update includes big improvements to terrain generation, with higher mountains, bigger ore veins, and “more elaborate” cave systems to explore and get lost in. As mentioned previously, the update also includes candles, which should help you light your way and mark where you’ve been while exploring those complex caves.
Some other content planned for the update will now be arriving later. This includes goat horns and new archaeology, which Mojang said will still arrive in the future but had to be put “on hold.” When they do arrive, it will be in “the best possible way.”
Minecraft has another big addition, however, to keep eager players satisfied in the meantime. New Disney World DLC was created to celebrate the park’s 50th anniversary, offering blocky versions of popular rides like Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion, and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.
