Prior to the release of Horizon Forbidden West sometime later this year for PS4 and PS5, Titan Comics is publishing a new comic based on the IP. The first issue of the series arrives on July 14. Titan Comics has given GameSpot an exclusive look at some interior pages.
Written by Anne Toole, featuring art from Elmer Damaso, Horizon Zero Dawn: Liberation will be the second arc of the Titan Comics series. While the book is still a month away from releasing, you can check out what it will look like below.
The book follows Aloy and Erend, as the duo are hunting down a murderer–one who killed a member of the Oseram tribe. Obviously, the two will be fighting some deadly machines.
The first arc of the comic was a smashing success for Titan Comics, as issue #1 sold over 80,000 copies, making it the 11th best-selling comic of August 2020. If you want to pre-order the comic, you can do so on Comixology or Forbidden Planet. Additionally, you can use the Comic Shop Locator to find an LCS near you–but make sure to preorder the book as soon as possible, so your comic shop knows to save a copy for you.
As for the video game series, the PlayStation exclusive Horizon Forbidden West should arrive sometime later this year. However, we won’t be learning more at E3 as Sony is sitting this year’s event out, opting to do its own thing. Recently, gameplay video was revealed for the game.
