Epic Games has released the latest update for Fortnite, with the version 16.20 patch out now. A brief patch notes has also been shared; here’s a look at what to expect next time you boot up the game, including some “new wheels.”
Epic made an allusion to “new wheels” in its initial tease for the update, which seemed like a reference to the remodeled Whiplash car you may have caught in the Fortnite Season 6 launch trailer. Already the fastest car in the game, the Whiplash looked primed to be tricked out with new tires and suspension that should solve the car’s previous issues with off-road traction. With the update now here, Epic has added the Chonkers Off-Road Tires, which can be used on any vehicle to improve off-road handling. You can get a look in the video below.
Version 16.20 also introduces a new Duos Cup that features the newly revealed Aloy from Horizon Zero Dawn. The Aloy Cup begins on April 14, with a special limited-time mode–Team Up! Aloy & Lara, which also features Lara Croft starting on April 16.
The last major highlight is 50-player matchmaking for Fortnite’s Creative hub. You can find the full patch notes, as shared by Epic, below.
