Now Playing: Chivalry 2 Release Date And Development Update
The studio briefly discussed some of Chivalry 2’s changes in a minor spotlight during the livestream. Members of Torn Banner Studios, including founder Steve Piggott, commented about the idea behind the game and the way the mechanics feel in relation to other titles.
“Chivalry 2 is going to feel unlike any other FPS out there,” game director Rasmus Loftstrom said.
The team said Chivalry 2 will feature more moves and better controls, as well as a greater focus on group combat. Furthermore, lead environment artist James Arkwright said that “a lot of emphasis has been put on making [the combat mechanics] accessible without losing any of the complexity.” There are also new additions to the game, such as triggerable traps.
Epic also unveiled other news during the Spring Games Showcase, including bringing the entire Kingdom Hearts series to the Epic Games Store next month.
