Netflix's Arcane Season 2 Trailer Confirms It's The Last Season

“Your council is dead. Wrath must be met with wrath. We will have justice.”

Arcane, the animated series, based on the League of Legends game and one of Netflix’s most successful animated series ever, is returning in November. The build-up of the showdown between sisters Vi and Jinx is at an all-time high as Jinx is a wanted criminal after the events of last season’s finale of the destruction of the Piltover Council.

The new trailer ends when Vi confronts her sister, no longer going by Powder, and calls her by her new chosen name and you know it’s going to be messy. Check it out below.

The cast includes Hailee Steinfeld (Vi), Annie Award winner Ella Purnell (Jinx), Katie Leung (Caitlyn), Reed Shannon (Ekko), Amirah Vann (Sevika), Mick Wingert (Heimerdinger), Ellen Thomas (Ambessa), and Brett Tucker (Singed), with more to be revealed later.

Season 1 of Arcane became a huge hit for the streaming juggernaut and also earned four Primetime Emmy Awards including Outstanding Animated Program, making the show the first streaming series to win Outstanding Animated Program.

While this is the show’s final season, it’s just beginning for the world of Arcane at large.

“Arcane is just the beginning of our larger storytelling journey and partnership with the wonderful animation studio that is Fortiche,” said Christian Linke during a League Dev Update that went live earlier today. “From the very beginning, since we started working on this project, we had a very specific ending in mind, which means the story of Arcane wraps up with this second season. But Arcane is just the first of many stories that we want to tell in Runeterra.”
