Season 4 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is live, adding a new battle pass, more maps, weapons, and modes. The update also includes two new multiplayer perks, but first you’ll need to unlock them. Here we’ll explain how these new perks work and how to access them.

Mission Control Vest

This new vest perk works similarly to the Hardline perk from previous Call of Duty games, which lets you earn killstreaks with fewer kills.

This streak specialist vest provides the following:

Equipment Slots (6): Tactical, Lethal, Field Upgrade, Gloves, Gear (2)Reduces kills required by 1 and score required by 125 for killstreaksEarn 1 kill or 125 score for every 2 kill assists or cross-fire assists

Duplicate effects do not stack with similar perks. If this is equipped with Mission Control Comlink perk, you will gain the effects of the High Gain Antenna instead.

How to unlock the Mission Control Vest perk

You must select the Mission Control Vest as an active challenge in the Armory Unlock System, and then complete eight daily challenges to unlock this new perk. The perks are not auto-selected in the armory. You must manually select the Mission Control Vest in the Armory Unlock menu.

Compression Plate

Compression Plate is a new gear perk that works like Call of Duty’s familiar Quick Fix perk, as it lets you start regaining health immediately after a kill or while you’re capturing objectives. The health regen will start as soon as you earn a kill from a primary weapon, secondary weapon, or from throwing knife/throwing star kills.

How to unlock the Compression Plate gear perk

You must select the Compression Plate as an active challenge in the Armory Unlock System, and then complete eight daily challenges to unlock this new perk. The perks are not auto-selected in the armory. You must manually select the Mission Control Vest in the Armory Unlock menu.
