The wait for Severance Season 2 shouldn’t be “too much longer,” according to star Adam Scott. The actor behind Mark Scout on the sci-fi series admitted he can’t let many details out(ie) but did imply the Apple TV+ show will return soonish.
Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, Scott expressed that he’d love to “tell you and everybody about what’s coming up because it’s going to be so much fun. … But it’ll finally be coming out in the somewhat near future, and I can’t wait for everyone to see it,” said Scott, who received best actor nominations at the Emmys and Golden Globes for Severance.
When it was mentioned to Scott that people have done their best trying to be patient for more Severance, the actor reiterated that Season 2 isn’t far away from arriving. “Well, your patience doesn’t have to hold on too much longer,” he said.
Earlier this year, Ben Stiller revealed that Severance Season 2 had resumed shooting after initially beginning in May 2023. However, like many productions, the Apple TV+ series had to shut down production because of the historic Hollywood writers and actors strikes over last summer. While Stiller is best known for starring in comedies like Night at the Museum and Zoolander, he directed a majority of Severance episodes for the first season.
Severance sees a company called Lumon Industries that has created a way for workers to forget everything in their personal lives while at work. Their minds are severed, and employees refer to themselves as innies while on the job. Their outies describe their lives outside of work.
