LearnPress Coming Soon Courses extends the LearnPress LMS plugin by adding a “coming soon” status option for courses. This allows instructors to publish course landing pages with descriptions, pricing, and enrollment information before the actual course content (lessons, quizzes, assignments) is finalized.

Core Functionality

• Coming soon course status: A new course status that displays the course in catalogs with a “coming soon” badge while preventing access to unfinished content.
• Pre-registration support: Allow students to express interest or pre-register for upcoming courses, building an audience before launch.
• Course landing pages: Display course descriptions, instructor information, pricing, and curriculum outlines while content is still in development.
• Launch date display: Show expected availability dates so students know when the course will be accessible.

Practical Considerations

This addon is focused specifically on the pre-launch phase of courses. Once a course is ready, you change its status to published through the standard LearnPress interface. The addon does not include countdown timers, automated email sequences, or waitlist management; for those features, you would need additional plugins or custom development. It requires LearnPress core plugin to function.
