Season 2 Reloaded added the SOA Subverter battle rifle and the Soulrender melee weapon to Modern Warfare 3’s weapon pool, but it’s the melee weapon you’ll want to unlock fast if you’re looking to fight back against riot shields.
As seen demonstrated in the clip above, the Soulrender is a sword that lets players eliminate riot shield opponents, even when facing them head-on. Sledgehammer Games has confirmed this is not a glitch, and that the sword works as intended, with the Soulrender’s unique heavy attack being an intentional counter for riot shields.
