The Finals Introduces New Limited Time Mode In The Latest Update

Embark Studios is looking to change things up with the 1.6.0 update for The Finals. The latest patch introduces a limited-time event called Steal the Spotlight, as well as, cosmetics, and quality-of-life improvements.

In Steal The Spotlight, players will load into a night map with a “predetermined build and loadout,” and to cash out, they’ll need to get past a series of tripwires and turrets defending the station. Those who participate in Steal The Spotlight this week will be eligible to earn a new cosmetic bundle.

On top of that, Recon Senses have been updated. Going forward, they’ll now have a limited reach instead of having “infinite sight,” and if players get spotted, they’ll receive a notification letting them know. That’s not the only thing being adjusted too. The Career Ranks have now expanded to ten levels. Because of this, joining ranked matches will be easier since the number of rounds has been reduced from 65 to 45. To help kill time while waiting, players can adjust their loadouts in the lobby.
