How to make all collectibles appear with the Mayor Setter Charm in Alan Wake 2
The Alan Wake 2 Mayor Setter Charm comes from, you guessed it, the Mayor Setter placards in Bright Falls and Watery. There are six that you need to find in total. Before we talk about their locations, here are a few important tidbits:
Make sure you read the campaign slogans on each placard just to be on the safe side. If you go to Saga’s Mind Place, there should be a frame on the wall with the slogans that you’ve found.Once you’ve found all six, the placard will have a note telling you that Mayor Setter is in Watery. We discuss this a bit later in our guide. If you’ve advanced further into the campaign, you can still tag the placards by revisiting the area. Just try to avoid going past the point of no return (which the game will clearly warn you about).
Mayor Setter locations in Bright Falls
There are a few Alan Wake 2 Mayor Setter placards found in Bright Falls. As far as we can tell, two are readily seen during your first visit and at any time thereafter, while the third is from a later chapter.
Mayor Setter placard #1: Setter is Better

Mayor Setter placard #2: Mayor Setter Won’t Roll Over on the Issues
Chapter: Return 1 – InvitationLocation: Exit the lodge and make a left. You should see this along the left-hand side of the street.
Mayor Setter placard #3: Vote for Mayor Setter to Sit in Office
Chapter: Return 5 – Old GodsLocation: This is right in front of the Wellness Center, which is adjacent to Valhalla Nursing Home.
Mayor Setter locations in Watery
There are three Mayor Setter placards scattered all over the village of Watery. The good news is that you can tag all of them during the same chapter due to how you’ll progress via objectives. You can always revisit Watery later if you missed something.
Mayor Setter placard #4: Mayor Setter Will Stand Up for Justice
Chapter: Return 3 – Local GirlLocation: In front of the Suomi Hall/Bar in Downtown Watery.
Mayor Setter placard #5: When You Ask, Mayor Setter Will Speak
Chapter: Return 3 – Local GirlLocation: Found along the path that leads from the main Coffee World attractions to the Huotari Well.
Mayor Setter placard #6: Mayor Setter Is Not Afraid of the Rough Questions
Chapter: Return 3 – Local GirlLocation: Found right beside the hut/save point before the gate that leads to the Lighthouse Trailer Park.
Where to meet Mayor Setter
After tagging all six placards, it’s time to meet Mayor Setter in Alan Wake 2. Simply head to Downtown Watery and enter the Suomi Hall (i.e. bar) near where your car is parked. You’ll see the mayor on the stage–you may have already guessed the mayor’s identity based on the slogans.
In any case, meet him to earn “The Nice Things in Life” achievement. You’ll also see in your inventory that you’ve got the Mayor Setter Charm.
As of the time of this writing, we did see several Alan Wake 2 collectibles revealed after equipping the Mayor Setter Charm. These include Alex Casey Lunchboxes and Nursery Rhymes. However, we did not see any icons for the Taxidermy Deer Heads. Likewise, there were a couple of lunchboxes that we only stumbled upon, even though they didn’t appear on the map initially. We can’t confirm if the Mayor Setter Charm is functioning as intended or if there’s a bug related to map icons.
From Bright Falls to the Dark Place, danger lurks in every corner in Alan Wake 2. Don’t worry because we’ve got everything covered in our guides hub.
