Prepare for a food fight for survival in Netflix’s Chicken Nugget, premiering March 15. The strange and surreal comic-mystery drama, the series centers around Sun-man (Ryu Seung-ryong) as he attempts to rescue his daughter, Min-ah (Kim You-jung), who has turned into a chicken nugget after getting trapped in a strange machine. Sun-man is joined by Baek-joong (Ahn Jae-hong), who has a secret crush on Min-ah.
Famed director Lee Byeong-heon is behind the series that takes these two men, and their little nugget, on a one of a kind adventure. You can check out the bizarre trailer below.
Known for his blockbuster Extreme Job and the TV series Be Melodramatic, Byeong-heon seems like a perfect person to helm the series.
Along with the main cast, there will be special appearances by Jung Ho-yeon as the top Korean culinary columnist, Hongcha. The series is based on the webtoon of the same name by Park Ji-dok, aka PJD. The comic ran for just under a year from September 2019-August 2020.
