Affleck's Batman Movie Would Have Given A "New Kind Of Perspective" On The Dark Knight, Artist Says

More information on what could have been for Ben Affleck’s solo Batman movie has been revealed. The canceled project was supposed to cover “the last 80 years” of Batman mythos and give a “new kind of perspective” on the Dark Knight, according to an artist formerly affiliated with DC.

In an interview with Inverse, former DC storyboard artist Jay Oliva, who worked on films such as Man of Steel, Batman v Superman, and he would no longer be playing Batman. Affleck had previously planned to direct a solo Batman film, but eventually pulled back. Olivia shared more thoughts, saying:

“It was very clever, and there were a lot of things about it that I really loved that I wish that had come to fruition,” Oliva said. “It was a really great project in the beginning. Ben had to step away for personal reasons, and I totally understood, but the time that I spent with Ben working on the project was fantastic.”
