Baldur’s Gate 3 dominated the 2024 BAFTAs (British Academy Film Awards), taking home Best Game, Best Music, Best Narrative, and Best Performer in a Supporting Role.

The Dungeons & Dragons RPG also took home the EE Players’ Choice Award at the 20th annual BAFTA Games Awards, the only award voted on by the gaming public. The Best Performer in a Supporting Role Award went to Andrew Wincott, the voice of Baldur Gate 3’s Raphael.

Now Playing: Baldur's Gate 4 Isn't Next For Larian; Something Bigger Is Coming

While Baldur’s Gate 3 took home the most awards, Remedy’s long-awaited sequel Alan Wake 2 snagged two wins in the Audio and Artistic Achievement categories, and Nintendo’s Super Mario Bros. Wonder took home Best Family Game and Best Multiplayer. Nadji Jeter took home the award for Best Performer in a Leading Role for his performance as Miles Morales in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. Tango Gameworks’ Hi-Fi Rush won for Best Animation.

Other winners included Cyberpunk 2077 for Evolving Game thanks to the release of its Phantom Liberty expansion, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom for Technical Achievement, and Viewfinder, which won both Best British Game and Best New Intellectual Property. Dave the Diver won Best Game Design, while Venba won the award for Best Debut Game.

The year’s BAFTA Special Award was presented to SpecialEffect, a gaming charity focused on helping to “maximize fun and quality of life” for disabled people by “helping people control video games to the best of their abilities.” SpecialEffect founder and CEO Mick Donegan accepted the award, which was presented by Sir Ian Livingstone, co-founder of Warhammer creator Games Workshop and eventual executive chairman for Eidos.

Baldur’s Gate 3’s BAFTA wins are just the latest accolades for developer Larian’s award-winning title, which won Game of the Year at this year’s GDC Awards, DICE Awards, The Steam Awards, and at the 2023 Game Awards. It was also GameSpot’s 2023 Game of the Year. Despite the game’s massive success, Larian has confirmed its next game won’t be Baldur’s Gate 4, and that there won’t be DLC for Baldur’s Gate 3.
