Call of Duty: Vanguard has an overwhelming amount of weapon attachments to choose from, and sometimes customizing the most optimal weapon loadout in the Gunsmith can be a bit overwhelming. Here we recommend some of Vanguard’s best multiplayer weapon loadouts to help get you started.
Note: For the recommended Optic attachment, you can choose either the Slate Reflector or the MK 3 Sunfilter to get a slight zoom without any negative impacts. Both are popular choices, but try out both to see which is best for you.

STG44
The STG44 remains one of the most dominant assault rifles in Vanguard. The STG44 can be built as a long-range weapon or even as a close-quarters powerhouse that’s more comparable to a submachine gun. However, for this recommended build we’ll be focusing on attachments for mid-to-long range gunfights. These suggested attachments will give you the damage power for those long-range shots, but it also greatly reduces the recoil of this assault rifle.

Cooper Carbine
The Cooper Carbine arrived in Season 1’s battle pass, and it serves as one of Vanguard’s most versatile assault rifles. It’s a rifle designed as a submachine gun hybrid, which gives the gun a high fire rate that can tackle almost any range. This build will focus on making the most of both qualities to give you a weapon that’s powerful across all map sizes.

Welgun
Season 1 Reloaded added the Welgun submachine gun, which can be unlocked through an in-game challenge or purchased with a bundle in the store. The Welgun is a powerful submachine gun, but certain attachments can be added to give this weapon the range and feel of an assault rifle.

MP-40
The MP-40 is still a solid choice for those close-range engagements, and it’s a submachine gun that’s very easy to use. These recommended attachments will help you achieve great movement speed and beef up your ammo count. This is a great submachine gun build for run-and-gun playstyles.

Bren
The Bren is one of the most powerful weapons in Vanguard’s light machine gun class. With the recommended attachments you can get extra recoil control, increase your mobility, and up the ammo count to make the Bren a dominant weapon for your next multiplayer session.

DP27
The DP27 is another solid choice in the light machine gun class. The aim-down-sight time can be a bit slow, as you’d often expect with a light machine gun, but you can build this gun to have a high fire rate and very little recoil. For the Proficiency attachment, I like having Sleight of Hand for faster reload, but Fleet is another great choice for added movement speed and weapon swap quickness.

Kar98k
The Kar98k is Vanguard’s most powerful sniper rifle in Season 1 Reloaded, and you can build this gun for very aggressive and quick sniping playstyles. Here are the recommended attachments to get the most damage and movement speed out of this sniper rifle.

With so many attachments this year, leveling up weapons and getting the best attachments unlocked can be an absolute grind. But these are some solid weapons to focus on leveling and customizing.
Tip: Vanguard gives you all the weapon attachments for the private matches, so this means you can try out these builds in a private match to see what works best for you. This allows you to find the best guns to devote your time leveling up, and you avoid wasting time on guns that you don’t really like.
