Bethesda's Indiana Jones Game Is An Xbox And PC Exclusive

During the FTC trial with Microsoft, Bethesda’s Pete Hines confirmed that the upcoming Indiana Jones game from MachineGames is exclusive to Xbox and PC.

Hines was talking about how Bethesda operated before and after its acquisition by Microsoft. He revealed that Bethesda had an agreement with Disney to make the Indiana Jones game a multiplatform release. However, when Microsoft acquired Bethesda, the agreement was amended so that the game would be an Xbox and PC exclusive.

Microsoft has honored past exclusivity deals before, most notably with Deathloop and Ghostwire: Tokyo, but they were only timed console exclusives on PS5. More-recent Bethesda games are now becoming exclusive to Microsoft’s ecosystem, such as Redfall. Director Harvey Smith said that a PS5 version of Redfall was in development before Microsoft canceled it to make it an exclusive Xbox and PC release.

The Indiana Jones game was revealed back in 2021, but its release platforms weren’t publicly announced. Todd Howard is the executive producer of the game and said that it’ll be a “mash-up of different genres.
