Two new graphics novels based on From Software’s Bloodborne and Dark Souls series are on the way, giving fans a new way to explore these bleak fantasy worlds in the coming months. Bloodborne: The Bleak Dominion and Dark Souls: The Willow King are available to preorder now at Amazon.
Bloodborne: The Bleak Dominion
The first of the two new releases, Bloodborne: The Bleak Dominion, is written by Cullen Bunn and illustrated by Piotr Kowalski. The Bleak Dominion is a sequel to Bloodborne: Lady of the Lanterns, which Bunn and Kowalski also worked on. It follows the Hunters Gretchen and Abraham as they delve into the chalice dungeons, where they face horrific creatures and other dangers. Bloodborne: The Bleak Dominion releases on June 4, and you can preorder it now for $18 at Amazon.
Ahead of The Bleak Dominion’s release, you can catch up on the Bloodborne graphic novel series by reading the first five volumes. Most of the books are available for less than retail price. Dark Souls: The Willow King
The second upcoming graphic novel is Dark Souls: The Willow King. Written by George Mann and illustrated by Mann House, the 112-page volume tells the story of three undead warriors on a quest to confront Ustrad, the Willow King, who refuses to fulfill his duty and rekindle the flame. Dark Souls: The Willow King will launch for $18 on August 13, and preorders are available at Amazon.
The easiest way to catch up on the Dark Souls series is to pick up Dark Souls: The Complete Collection, which contains all four volumes as well as Tales of Ember, a two-issue limited series that picks up where Volume 3 left off. You can get the omnibus edition of Dark Souls for only $22.49 at Amazon right now. Big fans will also want to check out the gorgeous Artist’s edition of The Breath of Andolus, the first volume in the series.
