Season 5 of Call of Duty Mobile has been revealed, and the big update includes the addition of the Armada Strike map, the FFAR 1 assault rifle, a new seasonal event, and more. There are also updates to the game’s tournament mode.
Call of Duty Mobile Season 5: Get Wrecked arrives on May 31 at 5 PM PT / 8 PM ET. The season includes a brand-new battle pass with 50 tiers of free and premium items, including new operator skins, weapon blueprints, and more.
One main highlight of the battle pass is the FFAR 1 assault rifle from Black Ops Cold War, which is unlocked at tier 21 of the free pass. Another free unlock is the Guardian scorestreak at tier 14, which is a deployable device that emits radiation to slow enemy movement, distorts their vision, and causes constant low-level damage.
The premium tiers feature operator skins for Rampage, Synaptic, Sims, and Roze. There are also weapon blueprints for the AK117, ZRG 20MM, Switchblade X9, and the new FFAR 1.
Season 5: Get Wrecked will add the Armada Strike multiplayer map from Black Ops Cold War, which lets fights take place above and below the deck of a battleship. Just like the standard version, the mobile map will feature rappel lines for rapid access between both levels. Players can also go for a swim to flank their opponents with water routes.
Call of Duty’s Search and Rescue mode also arrives with Season 5. The mode combines elements of Kill Confirmed with Search and Destroy, and it tasks players with attacking or defending bomb sites. While Search and Destroy is a no-respawn mode, players can revive teammates in this Search and Rescue variant by collecting their dog tags.
On the battle royale side, the new season adds the trophy system tactical equipment. This equipment will destroy a limited number of incoming explosives within the device’s radius, allowing players to survive lethal equipment tossed in their direction. The trophy system can be found when scavenging across the map.
Season 5’s limited-time event is called Desolate Endurance, and this is described as allowing players to build their own survivor base, collect supplies, and construct facilities. Participation includes both multiplayer and battle royale, where players can earn milestone rewards, including daily tasks that reward advanced materials upon completion. The advanced materials are then used to upgrade base buildings.
The season also includes updates to the game’s tournament mode. Starting in Season 5, the weekend tournament mode will allow players to compete in both the weekly rotating multiplayer and battle royale modes.
Tournament mode is adding new melee camos and improved crates. After unlocking enough primary weapon tournament camos, the melee camos will become available to earn. Tournament crates will get a content upgrade, with players able to use their 1CP coupons on the first pull of Mythic Card crates.
Additionally, the update will include new seasonal challenges and events rewarding operator skins, weapon blueprints, battle pass XP, and more.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone recently received a big mid-season update. Season 3 Reloaded recently added a multiplayer map, a new DMZ location, a Kevin Durant operator bundle, and more. Streamers NickMercs and TimTheTatman also have their own Call of Duty operator bundles arriving later this month.
