MW3 launches on November 10, so campaign early access should begin around November 3. If this all sounds familiar, it’s because 2022’s Modern Warfare II also allowed people to play the campaign a week early as a preorder bonus. This appears to be Activision’s new strategy.
Modern Warfare III continues the story of Modern Warfare II, with Task Force 141 reuniting as they fight to take down Makarov. Not much else is known about the story as of yet, however.
Activision is going to reveal Modern Warfare III in an official capacity on August 17, so all of these details should become clear soon. The beta test, meanwhile, is expected to begin first on PlayStation because the company pays Activision for this arrangement.
Microsoft is in the process of attempting to acquire Activision Blizzard and the Call of Duty series, but even if that deal gets done, the Call of Duty franchise will stay on PlayStation for at least 10 more years.
Modern Warfare III will have a standard $70 edition and a Vault Edition with a number of other extras. Activision is expected to divulge all the key details on August 17, so keep checking back for more.
Modern Warfare III will be revealed through an in-game event in Warzone called Shadow Siege on August 17. Everyone who takes part can earn a series of bonus items, including a new weapon.
