The ESRB has posted its ratings description for Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0, and among other things, the listing contains a reference to “DMZ.” This is seemingly a reference to the battle royale game’s rumored new PvE mode, though nothing is confirmed at this point.
The ratings description specifically mentions how players can take part in a “variety of multiplayer combat events,” including battle royale, plunder-style skirmishes, and DMZ.

Now Playing: Warzone 2 Release Date May Have Leaked | GameSpot News
DMZ has been something of an open secret for a while now. Before this, NFL players mentioned the unannounced mode before deleting references to it.
DMZ is rumored to be an extraction-based mode inspired by Escape from Tarkov. Leaks have described DMZ as an open-world mode with a mix of battle royale and survival game elements, and the mode has reportedly been in development for four years.
It was also rumored DMZ might be set for a standalone release in 2023, but that is apparently not the case.
The ESRB also recently posted a rating for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II that reveals, among other things, that Call of Duty’s love of marijuana will continue with this year’s game. Both Modern Warfare II and Warzone 2.0 are scheduled to launch this year.
