What to expect from the Capcom Showcase
Capcom’s next big is the dinosaur crisis simulator Exoprimal, which is out in July. It’ll likely have a big presence at the showcase alongside the recently revealed remaster of Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective, which will be out later this month. The publisher also pulled back the curtain on Dragon’s Dogma 2 at May’s PlayStation Showcase, so a deeper look at that game wouldn’t be too surprising. There’s also the upcoming mobile game collaboration with Pokemon Go’s Niantic on Monster Hunter Now ahead of its September release.
Resident Evil 4’s VR mode was also teased at Sony’s event last month, so it could potentially be shown off in more detail during Capcom’s livestream. The other big draw is Street Fighter 6, as the game will increase its roster over time with new DLC characters.
The first of these new world warriors, Rashid, will be available in Summer 2023, and he’ll be followed by A.K.I, Ed, and Akuma over the months to come. A quick teaser of Rashid in Street Fighter 6 wouldn’t be unexpected.
