Another day, another classic Kirby game announced for Nintendo Switch Online–though this one is exclusive to the premium Expansion Pack tier. Kirby and the Amazing Mirror will arrive September 29 on the subscription service.
What’s neat about this Game Boy Advance addition is that Kirby and the Amazing Mirror will feature online co-op for up to four people on Nintendo Switch. When the title was originally released back in 2004, players had to use handheld link cables to adventure together as pink, red, yellow, and green Kirby.
Earlier this month, Nintendo Switch Online brought Kirby’s Star Stacker on SNES to the US for the first time ever. And earlier this year, the unique Kirby Tilt ‘n’ Tumble launched on the subscription service, as well as Kirby’s Dream Land 2 on Game Boy. It’s basically been the year of the pink puffball.
The Game Boy and GBA libraries for Nintendo Switch Online became available in February. Of course the pink puffball was there at the beginning, too, with Kirby’s Dream Land. Now GBA titles are part of the Expansion Pack tier of the service (along with Nintendo 64 and Sega Genesis), which costs $50 annually. The regular membership starts at $20 a year for an individual and includes NES, SNES, and Game Boy titles.
Last week, F-Zero 99 was unveiled as a bonus for Nintendo Switch Online.
