Now that Call of Duty’s big new Season 2 Reloaded update has arrived, some enterprising fans have dug through the code and discovered clues about what’s to come in the future. A datamining effort from Bob Network UK has revealed that the stoner duo Cheech and Chong might be coming to the game as playable operators, as well as NBA player Devin Booker.
The datamine also suggested that a Snoop Dogg Operator bundle is returning to the game.
If Cheech and Chong are coming to the game, a release sometime in April–maybe around the stoner holiday of 4/20–might be a fitting time for their release. Snoop Dogg, too, is known to enjoy the devil’s lettuce, so a release around then might make sense.
Booker, meanwhile, would be the second NBA player to come to Call of Duty. Before this, his Phoenix Suns teammate, Kevin Durant, came to Call of Duty as a playable character in 2023.
Call of Duty’s playable characters have also included real people like Nicki Minaj, as well as fictional characters like Lilith from Call of Duty, Ash from Evil Dead, Homelander from The Boys, Billy the Puppet from the Saw series, and Lara Croft from Tomb Raider, among many others.
The Season 2 Reloaded update adds a new multiplayer map, Das Haus, more Zombies story content, Warhammer characters, and a series of balance changes. For more, check out the Season 2 Reloaded patch notes.
