DayZ 2 Seemingly Revealed During Microsoft Court Hearing

DayZ 2 has seemingly been revealed via a court document as part of the ongoing trial between Microsoft and the United States Federal Trade Commission (FTC). As shown on a court document, developer Bohemia Interactive is currently working on numerous projects including Arma Reforger, Arma 4, and DayZ 2.

Bohemia Interactive has yet to officially reveal DayZ 2, but GameSpot has reached out for comment. The company did tell IGN that it cannot “offer too many details at the moment,” in regards to a potential DayZ 2.

DayZ is a multiplayer survival game that originally started as an Arma 2 mod before launching on PC in 2018. The game garnered a large audience and eventually came to PS4 and Xbox One in 2019. Since then, Bohemia Interactive has supported DayZ with numerous updates to enhance the experience for players.

The first DayZ game received positive reviews upon release–though the console versions were criticized–and went on to sell millions of copies across all platforms. It’s available to purchase on Steam for $45 and on PlayStation and Xbox for $50.

The Microsoft-FTC trial has been full of news including word from PlayStation boss Jim Ryan that publishers apparently dislike Xbox Game Pass because “Its value is destructive.” It was also said that Starfield was supposed to come to PlayStation before Microsoft acquired ZeniMax in 2021.
