Bungie has announced the next crossover event in Destiny 2, and it’ll see cosmetics inspired by Geralt of Rivia from CD Projekt’s The Witcher series come to the sci-fi FPS.
Players can deck out their Destiny 2 character with new armor ornaments, a Ghost shell, ship, Sparrow, emote, and finisher all inspired by the monster-slayer from the game series. The content goes live on November 28 when Season of the Wish releases. Pricing was not announced.
Additionally, Bungie announced that it’s launching the Bungie Store‘s biggest sale of the year on November 24. Everyone who buys something will get a free Darkstar emblem. Bungie also announced that Destiny 2’s Lightfall expansion and other content are marked down significantly on PlayStation, Xbox, and Steam for Black Friday, with the deal period wrapping up on November 28.
The arrival of the Witcher skins and the Bungie Store sale comes not long after the studio confirmed major internal changes that have caused a stir and a controversy within the Destiny fanbase.
Bloomberg recently reported that as many as 100 people, around 8% of Bungie’s 1,200 staff, had been fired. According to the Bloomberg report, Destiny 2 revenue following the release of the poorly received Lightfall is coming in 45% below the studio’s projections.
As for The Witcher series, CD Projekt is now developing a new trilogy of Witcher games and a remake of the original Witcher.
