The Diablo 4 early access beta is upon us. Those who’ve pre-purchased the game will be able to venture forth into the harsh wilderness of Sanctuary until they hit level 25. However, as players have pointed out, there have been a few hiccups, which include long queue times and server disconnections. Apart from these, it’s also worth noting that neither the Necromancer nor Druid are available in Diablo 4–not yet anyway.
Diablo 4 Necromancer and Druid availability
The Necromancer is an old fan favorite. These Priests of Rathma aim to strike a balance, resurrecting the dead to do their bidding. They’re able to create projectiles made of bone and cause corpses to explode. Druids, meanwhile, are in tune with nature, giving them a means of striking down foes with the elements. Moreover, they’re able to shapeshift into ferocious animals.
So, when exactly will you be able to play as the Necromancer and Druid in Diablo 4? The short answer, according to Activision-Blizzard’s official blog post, is next weekend. Basically, Diablo 4 has two public beta stages:
Early access beta – Runs from March 17 at 12 p.m. ET through March 20 at 3 p.m. ET. Those who’ve pre-purchased the game will be able to try it out at this stage. Likewise, only the Barbarian, Sorcerer, and Rogue will be playable at this stage.Open beta – Runs from March 24 at 12 p.m. ET to March 27 at 3 p.m. ET. This will be available to everyone. This is also when you’ll get to play as the Necromancer and Druid in Diablo 4.
Do take note that once the open beta concludes on March 27, all progress will be wiped. The only caveats would be the Wolf Pup cosmetic and beta titles that are based on progression. These rewards can be claimed once Diablo 4 officially launches on June 6. In any case, you can learn more about the game’s playable heroes in our class hub.
