Now Playing: 20 Tips For Beginners In Disney Dreamlight Valley

Multiplayer

If you’re interested in checking out a friend’s valley or having them come see your own, you’ll want to check out our multiplayer guide.

Cross-save and cross-play

You can take your town across platforms using cloud saves. Here’s how to set it up.

Upgrading your house

Upgrading your house in a game like this is one of the most exciting parts of the game. Here’s how to do it in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

Recipe list

With over 160 recipes, you can spend hours just working in the kitchen. Here’s the full list of recipes. We even have some specific guides for recipes you’ll need for quests, such as Extra Fizzy Root Beer and Raspberry Boba Tea.

Ingredients

Recipes demand ingredients, and those are found in several different ways. Make sure you know where to find all ingredients using our guide. You can also check out how to get Dreamlight Fruit if that’s the main thing you’re missing.

Fishing

Fishing is easy in itself, but knowing where to find each fish is a bit more confusing. Check out our guide on all fish locations. Are you specifically looking for a particularly elusive blobfish? If so, here’s how to catch a Here and There Fish.

Foraging

When you need crafting elements such as clay, stone, or rope, you can find yourself lost in a pile of supplies. Here’s what to know about foraging in Disney Dreamlight Valley. We also have a guide on getting Rich Soil and Red Roses.

Mining

Like fishing and foraging, mining is a crucial part of your day, but it’s not always clear what you might mine or where to go when you need something specific. This guide on gem locations should clarify things.

Energy and stamina

Doing all that mining, fishing, and more will wear you out quickly if you’re not careful. Use our energy guide to best understand how to conserve, refill, and even overfill your energy in Dreamlight Valley. Also, check out how to use your energy to hover so that you can move around the valley much more quickly.

Unlock all characters

There are tons of friendly faces to meet in Dreamlight Valley, and most of them won’t predate your arrival, which means you’ll need to invite them to your village or otherwise discover them. The methods to unlocking all characters in Disney Dreamlight Valley vary quite a bit, so use our guide to know how to bring everyone to town. Once they’re there, use our sleep schedule guide to know when they’ll be awake for you to interact with, or check out what each of their homes looks like.

Friendships

Turning neighbors into friends is a crucial part of your journey in Dreamlight Valley, and your time should be well spent if you’re looking to become best pals with Mickey, Remy, Anna, Belle, and everyone else. Here’s how to best level up your friendships.

Companions

Though ‘companion’ is a synonym for friend, in Dreamlight Valley, the word refers exclusively to your non-anthropomorphized animal pals, such as the game’s many critters, as well as some exclusive variants. Our critter feeding guide is below on this very page, but we also have a list on how to swap companions, how to unlock Pua as a companion–hint: they’re a quest-exclusive–and a full companion list for you to use.

The most notable companion in the game may be the Rainbow Fox, which takes an enormous amount of time and effort to unlock. It’s worth the effort, though! Here’s how to unlock the Rainbow Fox.

Star Path

The Star Path is Disney Dreamlight Valley’s battle pass system. The most recent one you can take on is the Lovely Monsters Star Path. Nowadays, these passes contain some fairly tricky Dreamlight Duties, though, so make sure to consult our solutions for all A Day at Disney Star Path duties.

Goofy Stalls

Goofy’s quite the entrepreneur in Dreamlight Valley, setting up shop in every biome. You’ll want to know what he’s buying or selling at each of them, so this guide explains Goofy Stall locations and inventory.

Critters

Squirrels, turtles, and more critters will wander the town and sometimes seek your attention. Here’s how to feed and interact with them.

Realms

Realms are the story missions that transport you to far-off Disney worlds based on brands like Frozen, Moana, and Wall-E. Here’s a list of all confirmed (and rumored) Realms so far, including the newest addition of the Monsters Inc. Realm.

Tricky quests and puzzles

Though the game is pretty approachable for all ages, Disney Dreamlight Valley has a few quests or puzzles that might stump you. Here are some useful quest guides and well-hidden locations.
