Disneyland’s Social Media Accounts Hacked With No-So-Magical Messages

Disney is the home for some of the most awful villains in pop culture, but real-life villain hacked into Disneyland’s official Instagram Thursday morning and bombarded the account with some heinous material.

Calling himself David Do, he posted four Instagram posts and two stories on the account. They were filled with racist language. The hacker even claimed to have “invented COVID.”

Screenshots of one of the posts made their way on various Disney blogs and across social media, showing that the hacker wrote that he was “here to bring revenge upon Disney land [sic].” The hacker added alongside a photo of himself that he was “tired of all these Disney employees mocking me.” He ended one of the posts with “who’s the tough guy now Jerome?”.

“Disneyland Resort’s Facebook and Instagram accounts were compromised early this morning,” a Disney representative said in a statement via NY Post. “We worked quickly to remove the reprehensible content, secure our accounts, and our security teams are conducting an investigation.”

The account was temporarily taken down shortly after the incident and reemerged without any of the hacked posts.
