Two new Jungle Cruise trailers have been released. The movie is based on the Disney theme park attraction, and it releases on July 30.
The trailers each have an introduction from the film’s stars, Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt. Except the actors both seem to think they are the main star and have serious trouble remembering the other’s names. As for the trailers, each is focused on their characters, Skipper Frank and Dr. Lily Houghton, and deliver a similar mix of comedy and Amazonian action to previous Jungle Cruise promos. Check out, erm, Dave Gobson and Ethel Brunt in the trailers below:
Jungle Cruise also stars Jack Whitehall (Good Omens), Édgar Ramírez (Bright), Jesse Plemons (Game Night), and Paul Giamatti (The Amazing Spider-Man 2). It’s directed by Jaume Collet-Serra, who previously helmed the shark thriller The Shallows. The movie will hit theaters on the same day it’s made available as a Premier Access title on Disney+, meaning that it will cost subscribers an extra $30 to add it to their accounts.
Collet-Serra is currently shooting the DC movie Black Adam, which also stars Johnson and releases in July 2022. In addition, it was recently announced that he will direct a TV sequel series to his 2011 Liam Neeson thriller Unknown for TNT.
