The sales number is impressive given that the game has received some backlash for its rocky launch, especially on PC, which had frame rate issues. Players were also not very keen on its microtransactions, which let players ease some of the game’s natural friction like its lack of fast travel-points.

The game has since received some critical updates, such as being able to restart a new game. Additional graphic settings will be coming in a new update soon.

In GameSpot’s Dragon’s Dogma 2 review, we said, “Dragon’s Dogma 2 is an excellent sequel that builds upon the first game’s core concepts to create a thrilling open-world adventure.”
