Dungeons & Dragons Campaigns Coming To G4 This July

G4, the TV network that originally launched in 2002 with a focus on programming about video games, has announced its comeback later this year will also include a streaming version of 2021 D&D Live. The two-day streaming event will take place July 16-17 and continue this fall on the network in four limited-run campaign events on G4.

According to a release from the network, the streaming event will feature four separate games, each with an “expert DM” and a cast of still-to-be-announced stars campaigning. In between the games, viewers will also be able to tune in for giveaways, a Dungeon Master roundtable, product announcements, interviews, and more.

“D&D Live 2021 is going to be an innovative event with new forms of interactivity for a live streaming audience and the perfect D&D introduction for new audiences,” said Brian Terwilliger, vice president of programming and creative strategy at G4. “We’re thrilled to partner with Wizards of the Coast to give fans adventure, comedy, and an incredibly entertaining journey into the theater of the mind.”

It was also recently revealed that G4’s revival will include original X-Play host Adam Sessler and Attack of the Show’s Kevin Pereira, who are both bringing back their popular shows. No word yet on what format either of their shows might take in 2021, and whether any of their popular co-hosts will be playing a role–or even having a cameo.

Similarly, Jeff Goldblum recently announced he would be playing Balmur, an elven sorcerer, in the D&D podcast Dark Dice.
