Entire 9-Movie, 20-Hour Star Wars Skywalker Saga Marathon Hits Theaters On May 4

If you’re a Star Wars fan and have a lot of free time on your hands, here’s something to consider. On May 4 AKA Star Wars Day, the entire nine-movie Skywalker Saga will play in theaters as part of a gargantuan marathon event.

The nine movies will screen in chronological order, beginning with 1999’s The Phantom Menace and running through 2019’s The Rise of Skywalker. This is a true marathon event, as the movie’s together have a total runtime is more than 20 hours. Here’s the rundown:

Everyone who attends the screening gets an advance look at the new Star Wars TV show The Acolyte and a limited-edition poster. Tickets go on sale today, March 22, at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET. Pricing for this special event was not disclosed, but that should become clear soon when tickets go on sale.

If you’re not up for the entire marathon, movie theaters are showing just The Phantom Menace starting May 3 to celebrate the movie’s 25th anniversary.
