February Nintendo Direct May Have Been Delayed Because Of Xbox Event – Report

The rumored February 2024 Nintendo Direct has reportedly been moved to a different date because of Xbox’s business update podcast.

According to Giant Bomb’s Jeff Grub, Nintendo was considering delaying a Direct presentation due to Microsoft’s event. He also said that he’s never known the exact date of when it would air, but only that it was going to be sometime in the middle of February.

Historically, Nintendo has held Direct presentations within the first two months of the year, so fans are eagerly waiting for this year’s show. One of the most anticipated games is Hollow Knight Silksong, which still doesn’t have a release date despite being announced five years ago during a Nintendo Direct.

Microsoft recently revealed that it would be bringing four of its exclusive games over to PlayStation and Nintendo Switch. However, Microsoft didn’t specify which ones. They reportedly are Hi-Fi Rush, Pentiment, Sea of Thieves, and Grounded.

Some of these games could be featured in one of Nintendo’s upcoming Directs, which would explain the delay of a possible presentation.
