Now Playing: FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH – Official Gameplay Overview Video
Square Enix released the demo on February 7, shortly after its dedicated State of Play presentation. While many have enjoyed the demo, some have criticized the game’s visuals when switching between Performance and Graphical modes, saying that the former option makes the visuals noticeably worse, more so than in other games.
In Graphics mode, the game prioritizes high-fidelity visuals while running at 30fps. When switched to Performance mode, the game runs at 60fps, resulting in a smoother experience, but the graphical fidelity is toned down.
In GameSpot’s Final Fantasy VII Rebirth preview, we said, “After a four-hour demo with Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth and a conversation with its director and producer, the scale and depth of this small slice are impressive and promising.”
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth launches exclusively on PS5 on February 29.
