The first full trailer for the upcoming Friends: The Reunion special has arrived, and it certainly delivers the goods in terms of hyping up the show.
The trailer shows off what to expect from the reunion special, and it’s a lot. The original cast of the show–Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, and David Schwimmer–plus numerous special guests, are coming back together at Stage 24 on the Warner Bros. lot in Burbank to reminisce about the iconic show.
In one segment, we see host James Corden ask if Ross and Rachel were really on a break. Matt LeBlanc also sits down at the dinner table and remarks about Courteney Cox having her lines written there. The trailer also reveals that part of the special will see the cast reading lines from episodes of the show. It also gives a glimpse at some of the tender, emotional moments to come, as well as the silly ones, like when someone dresses up like The Holiday Armadillo. Even actress Maggie Wheeler is back in the teaser to deliver her famous Janice line, “Oh my god!”
Friends: The Reunion debuts on Thursday, May 27 on HBO Max. That’s just before HBO Max rolls out a new ad-supported tier during the first week of June where you can watch everything for $10/month, but with ads.
In addition to the main cast, there will be lots of special guests, too, including David Beckham, Justin Bieber, BTS, James Corden, Cindy Crawford, Cara Delevingne, Lady Gaga, Elliott Gould, Kit Harington, Larry Hankin, Mindy Kaling, Thomas Lennon, Christina Pickles, Tom Selleck, James Michael Tyler, Maggie Wheeler, Reese Witherspoon, and Malala Yousafzai.
According to a report, all six stars are being paid between $2.5 million and $3 million to appear in the reunion.
While you wait for the reunion special, you can watch every episode of Friends, in order, right now on TBS as part of a special marathon.
